On My Way

This song was inspired by my mother-in-law's mother, Khatoon Moosa.

The other day I took a walk down memory lane

Through the photographs in the album of my first wedding.

It seemed more folks in there had passed on then do remain.

I believe I need to find my traveling shoes.

Chorus:

You know this world has been a lovely stop.

It pulls on me to stay.

But the seasons they're a turning

And my soul it is a yearning to be on its way.

Friends with whom I have lost touch I'm gonna find

And make time to do all the things I seem to keep putting off.

Gonna strengthen up my body and my mind.

Gotta get in shape for whatever lies ahead.

Chorus

Looking forward to adventures up ahead.

Thinking fondly of those great folks I must leave behind.

I'll forever be a voice inside your head.

You're a part of me and I'm a part of you.

Chorus
